In June, the PRiME Center’s Executive Director Collin Hitt sat down for a candid conversation with Kelly Garrett, who stepped down after 14 transformative years leading KIPP St. Louis. A veteran of the education reform movement since his 1992 Teach for America days, Kelly helped grow KIPP STL from one school into a high-performing network serving more than 2,300 students—predominantly Black and from low-income backgrounds.
